DBG'S MOMMA SAID WEAR YOUR BLUE JEANS (LIVIA)
Livia was born in 2008 to Minjonet and Dragon. She is a blue brindle pied who has grown into a nice size young adult. Her head has remained very nice and her head piece is very well placed. She still has the baby doll face and expression we just love to create here at DBG'S. Livia's current weight is 22 lbs.

DBG'S LITTLE BITZ OF BLUE "LIL BITZ"
This little girl we are so very proud to say we produced...she is exactly what we have waited for and been striving to produce.They say patience is everything and how true that is! Lil Bitz is sired by Bling and her mother Livia (pictured above) was also born and raised here. Lil Bitz is a small girl very petite yet not lacking any quality. We don't expect her to weigh more than 20 lbs as an adult. Her baby doll express is so sweet you will take one look at her and have to pick her up. We will update her pictures as she grows up so check back often!
DBG'S ENVIOUS LIL BLUE GENE "ENVY" (Blue fawn pied female)
This little doll is a dream come true. We hoped and prayed that Vika would give us just one blue girl before she retired. Well as you can see we got our wish!! Envy truly is the total package as it is very hard to find a blue fawn pied of her high quality. She is very small at just 18 lbs. Envy has a very short back, great head piece and is show quality....just to bad the blues can't be shown. Envy, much like her sisters is calm and relaxed all the time.

Bling is the youngest "male" addition to the DBG breeding crew! Bling is a solid blue fawn. He is low to the ground, huge bone, massive head and over all..... thick thick thick. Blings personality is outstanding as he is such a laid back sweet boy with a heart of gold. His facial expression caught my eye the very first time I seen him......lets just say he is "easy on the eyes". Bling's current weight is 25 pounds.

So what is Blue??
The diluted gene "d" is responsible for changing the black pigment to blue. A blue brindle is a brindle dog that carries the "d" gene which causes the black hairs to become blue. There are different types of blue including Blue masked fawn. This is when the black mask is blue instead. Our blue French bulldogs are AKC registered. Blue frenchies can not be shown in conformations events. The breed standard for the French bulldog states ACCEPTABLE colors are, brindle, fawn, white and brindle and white. However they will register any purebred French bulldog. There is no mention of the color "BLUE" in the frenchie standard nor is the color Gray. However Gray/white is listed as a color choice on the AKC's descriptive breed colors that a person can choose when registering their frenchie. The AKC does not write the breed standards. The parent club for each AKC recognized breed writes the standard for their respective breed. The French Bulldog Club of America (FBDCA) wrote the standard over 100 years ago.
The color blue does not affect the health of a French Bulldog. Blue French bulldogs have many dogs in their lines that are all of common colors in the AKC conformation show ring. A Blue is just as healthy as a brindle or fawn!!
